Doctors Appointment Update 25 weeks 3 days

As I am about to give you an update the little guy is kicking away like crazy!

So today I had my 25 weeks doctors appointment. It was the same as always and Katie got to come with me since she is in town visiting. Now that I am 25 weeks my appointments get closer together. My next one is in 3 weeks, then 2 weeks after that till I hit 36 weeks, then once a week. My doctor said everything looks good and gave me the paper work to get my 1 hour glucose test done. She also gave me the paper work to get my follow-up ultrasound done to remeasure his kidneys. I got a little more information on this. She said the "normal" measurement for their kidneys should be 4mm, well his measured at 5mm. So we are only off by 1mm, which the doctor said she sees in 90% of her patients. I am not as worried as she said everything else looked perfect.

This coming Saturday is my shower and I am very excited. There are going to be a lot of people coming from out of town to attend and I am very excited to see them.

Soccer Player or Field Goal Kicker

So I think this kid is going to be either a soccer player or a field goal kicker. While I was sitting at my desk with a member at work, I got a swift kick to the ribs. I actually yelled out "OUCH!" The member looked at me funny, but then realized that it was just my unborn child.

Not Much Going On

Well, not much has been going on with us. This weekend was pretty quiet, with beautiful weather. Last night we went out to dinner with Megan and Keola at Tahoe Joe's. It was very nice to get together with them and dinner was very good.

Today we just cleaned house and then looked at some open house's. We are not ready to buy yet, but just wanted to get a feel for what is out there. We looked at about 4 houses. Some were very nice, and a couple were not that great at all. I think our problem is, is that we really like the area we are in, but the house's in this area are a little out of our price range.

The baby is getting bigger every day. Last night I think he found my bladder! On the way home from dinner I think he was using it as a punching bag. As much as it was annoying, I love feeling him move around.

My new do!

So, even though I hate this picture, I think I look fat, here is a picture of my new hair. I have been wanting my hair cut for a long time, but wanted to wait till the weather got a little better. It is so much easier to do in the morning, and will be a lot easier when the baby comes.

In this picture is my friend Denise and her son Jacob I have known Denise since the 7th grade and recently got back in touch with her about 2 years ago. Right now Denise's husband is in Iraq, but should be coming home in about 2 months or so. To get ready for him to come home, they are moving back to Washington in a week and a half. So Saturday we went out to lunch. We ended up going to Port-Of-Subs and then going to Woodward Park to feed the ducks. Jacob had a great time chasing the ducks around.

Denise ended up getting the baby a gift basket. In the basket there were diapers, a pack of baby hangers, a receiving blanket, two little outfits, booties, a 2 sets of washcloths, hooded towels, a cute little football rattle, and some little mittens.

Last night as we were at my parents I decided to drink some V8 V-Fusion juice to try and get the little guy moving. The night that Joey felt him kick for the first time, I had drank some before I went to bed. So I thought that we would try it again. Right after I drank it he started kicking right away, and hard I might add. Then my mom was trying to see if she could feel him. Again he kicked so hard that not did she feel, but Joey saw by belly move. It is the most active he has even been. I think we might have a soccer player on our hands!

Joey felt the Baby!

I had just gotten into bed last night when I started to feel him kick up a storm. I put my hand on my belly and a couple seconds later I felt him from the outside. I grabbed Joey's arm, mind you he was half asleep when I did this, and told him that I just felt him kicking. I put his had right where I had mine and about 30 seconds later he felt him. He was so excited. We tried to get him to move some more, and he did, but Joey could not feel him. We are hoping tonight he can feel him again.
