Doctors Appointment Update

So this morning I had my 21 weeks appointment. It was a pretty normal appointment with getting weighed(so far I have gained 11 lbs, which is right on track), getting my blood pressure taken, and hearing the heartbeat. It is so wonderful to hear our little guys heart beating away, again, I will never get tired of hearing it.

When I asked her if the doctor had a chance to review my ultrasound she said yes and everything looked good, except his kidneys were measuring a little on the big side. She is not worried at all, but I do have to say my heart dropped. She said the ultrasound techs are trained get the measurments within certain limits, and if they are a little big or small, they notate it. Ok, so now I am freaking out. She said not to worry though, that this happens a lot, and that we will just do another ultrasound at 28 weeks to remeasure. Much easier said than done. I am not worried anymore, but was freaking out there for a while. I know that if my doctor is not worried then I shouldn't be. We were planning on paying for another ultrasound around 28 weeks, so now we won't have to since they need to remeasure.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Today was such a beautiful day here in Fresno.

We started the day by going to the country club and having Easter Brunch with Joey's dad, step-mom, papa, brother, and his fiance. There was so much food and it was so good. After brunch we headed outside, took a couple pictures, and then said goodbye to Tim and Lauren. Joey wanted to hit a bucket of balls with his dad, so we went over to the driving range for about 15 minutes. Even though it was a very nice day out, it got pretty hot out on the golf course.

We then headed over to my parents house for an early Easter dinner. At around 2 Uncle John, Aunt Sharon, Derek, and Darren came over. We hung out, had some snacks, and then ate around 3:15. My mom had made a wonderful ham, Aunt Sharon made her famous potato salad and rolls. There was a broccoli casserole but I didn't try it. After stuffing ourselves Mom, Uncle John, Derek, and myself played "Ticket to Ride". Then it was off to lay on the couch.

We got home about 8:30 and are now resting on the couch at home. Joey is sick and not feeling that great, so it is off to bed early tonight.

It's a.......BOY!!!!

This morning we had our big ultrasound and found out that we are having a little boy. We are so excited and couldn't be happier. Everything looked good as she was getting the measurements that she needed. Although, we think he is already taking after his mother, he was not cooperating very well. It took her a while to get a good shot, but we got it. Here are the pictures that she printed out for us.

As soon as I get the ultrasound pictures up on my computer I will post them.

2 weeks!

Today I had my doctors appointment. It went very well. This appointment we got to meet my doctor. She is very nice and seems young, but she knows her stuff. She asked if I had any questions and then listened for the heartbeat. Let me tell you, it is a sound that I will never get tired of hearing(if you are a parent, you probably know what I am talking about).

As the appoinment was ending guess what she gave us? The paperwork and the ok to find out the sex after March 17th! So as soon as I got to work I made the ultrasound appointment for March 17th at 7:00am. Yup, that's right 7:00am. I usually don't even wake up that early for work, but wanted to make it as soon as I could, plus I didn't want to take any more time off of work since that will be my first day back from vacation. We have to arrive at 6:45am and I have to drink 32oz of water an hour before and not go to the bathroom. I am sure this is going to be a challange for me. But nonetheless, we can't wait.
