December 21, 2007: The day we saw our baby for the first time!

About 2 weeks ago I found out that I am pregnant. It was the most exciting day of our lives so far, but at the same time, very scary. The next day we told my parents and they were very excited. We then told Joey's family, and they were excited as well.

It was going to be 2 very long weeks until our first doctors appointment which was today.

After waiting in the doctors office for almost an hour we were called back to the room. I thought that this was going to be the time that I saw our baby...nope, I was wrong. After I got checked in we had to wait another 20 minutes because the ultrasound room was being used. Finally after waiting another 20 minutes or so it was time to see the baby.

I was not sure if I was going to be able to see the baby, and I was right. It pretty much just looked like a blob to me, but Joey got to see the heartbeat. He was very excited that he was able to see it. I was laying down and the monitor was at an angle, so I really couldn't see it very well.

Here are two pictures of the baby. The fist one is the measurement of the baby. I am 6 weeks, 5 days, which puts my due date at August 10, 2008.
